Abby Cooley #902

My name is Abby Cooley. I am 11 years old and I am a caring, honest and very social sixth grader from Kitchener, ON

At the age of 6 I attended my first snocross event as a spectator with my dad. After trying the ride along program offered at the races and watching the kids race she was hooked. The next season we purchased my first race sled and off I went.

Over the last four years I have moved through the ranks of the of the one 120 sleds winning 1st overall on the woodchip track in stock 2 in 2015 and second overall in 2016 at the International snowmobile show in Toronto.

In the 2016/2017 season I ran as the only female rider in the Briggs improved class finishing 8th overall. Midway through the season I climbed onto my new 500cc Arctic Cat in the Transition girls class and showed great improvement over the course of the season, getting comfortable on the full size sled and finished 10th overall in the points.

For the 2017/2018 season I am moving away from the 120 sleds to concentrate on my big sled in the Transition girl’s class. My goal for the upcoming season will be to continue to improve my lap times and get myself into the top 5 in points this season.
